Outdoor Navigator is like a subscription to an online music service, but instead of downloading songs you gain access to over 60,000 USGS topo maps and NOAA charts - all on Maptech's outdoornavigator.com website. Download all the maps you want, when you need them. Since it covers the entire continental United States, it's a perfect solution for a mobile, outdoor lifestyle. When the subscription ends, any maps you've downloaded continue working.

USGS Topo Maps
USGS topographic maps are the recognized standard for off-road navigation. Other GPS units display crude maps with little detail. A Palm Powered handheld with Outdoor Navigator displays digital maps with the detail required for serious professional and recreational use.

NOAA Nautical Charts
Turn your handheld into a chartplotter with digital NOAA charts. NOAA charts are the standard for safe navigation and nothing else compares in accuracy and detail.

GPS Software Features:

• Pan maps and charts using the touch screen - drag your finger and the map drags with it.

• Quickly Zoom and Scale using hotkeys.

• Real-time GPS tracking - Requires connecting a NMEA 0183 GPS.
  Enter a waypoint on the screen using your finger or stylus.

• Data Boxes can be turned on and off quickly. Their readouts include:

GPS Requirements

Industry-standard NMEA 0183 GPS Signal.
Note: Outdoor Navigator will display maps and charts without a GPS connected.

• Internet access to download official USGS maps and NOAA nautical charts from Maptech's outdoornavigator.com web site.
