Digital Charts are available for all over the
world. For most of the world there are digital
charts available that are GPS ready. However, there
are programs that enable paper charts to be used as
well. Programs like Fugawi allow one to scan in paper charts to use
on a laptop, PDA or Palm Pilot. These programs are
great as they allow you to transfer waypoints from your
handheld GPS back and forth to your PC or PDA. Create
routes and print of GPS ready maps using software from Maptech or Fugawi /
Fugawi ENC or with Mapcruiser/ Boatcruiser.
